Chris Scovil started out in the computer industry as an avid hobbyist first with Commodore 64k machines, then with early IBM compatible machines, and ran various Bulletin Board Systems before the wide spread acceptance of and maturation of The Internet as we know it today. From 1989 to 1993 he honed his computer programming skills, competed in national competitions, and brought home top awards for data management and problem solving.

1993 was the beginning of a long technical career in the information technologies field. Chris started as a bench technician building new computers by hand and repairing desktops. The following years were a steady progression from bench technician to field technician to network administrator to systems engineer.

Well versed in all varieties of MS Windows Server, Exchange, Blackberry Server, Firewalls (Juniper Networks to Cisco), ActiveSync for various mobile devices, all Windows operating systems, MAC OSX, a variety of Linux distributions, VoIP, and much more, including the all imporant skill of being able to communicate in plain English and not just techno-lingo to help you fully understand the issues at hand.
